E787 -- Solutio problematis in Actis Lipsiensibus A. 1745 propositi

(Solution of a problem proposed in the Leipzig Acts in 1745)

E787 was an unpublished manuscript sent by Euler to Goldbach as an enclosure in a letter he (Euler) was writing.
According to Eneström, "The problem is: 'Circa datum focum C describere curvam AEBF, ut omnes radii ex C emissi post binas reflexiones in M et N factus, in ipsum punctum C revertantur.'"
