E406 -- Observationes circa radices aequationum
(Observations about the roots of equations)
According to Enestrõm, this work is about the formula for the sum of the pth power of the roots of an nth-order algebraic equation. Euler also looks at the meaning of this
formula if the sequence that occurs in it is continued to infinity. He also considers the solution of trinomial equations, along with the
correlation between ordinary equations and differential equations.
to the records, it was presented to the St. Petersburg Academy on January 14, 1771.
